UofCalPolySLOCal Poly San Luis Obispo Men's soccer team will tackle UC Santa Barbara at home this Wednesday night 8pm. The game will be televised live on Fox Soccer Chanel, two former UFC players Junior forward Tim White #5 and Freshman defender #27 Connor Dreschler will lead the 5-5-3 Mustangs against national powerhouse and number #5 ranked Division 1 team in the nation UC Santa Barbara.

Neil-RyanThe NCAA Collegiate conference for D1 schools will begin this week, we encourage all of our players to attend as many Collegiate games as possible (D1, D2, D3, NAIA, JC) as it is a great way to learn about level of College players, and what it will take for the average United FC player to play at that level. Below is an update of the current United male players playing at the Collegiate level. Many of our players have moved on to successful careers at the Collegiate level.

Robert James, a former UFC standout, took some time to share his soccer experience at United FC as well as at NAIA national powerhouse Azusa Pacific University. Robert recently completed his second year at Azusa and will return for his junior year in 2010. While playing at United, the 6'3” center back led the first ever SJSC team under the United FC banner, Coached by Isaac Ugay and managed by Robert James Senior, to the prestigious U19 CSL Premier level. That achievement paved the way for the current UFC Boys teams (U17 and U19) who enjoy the privilege of playing at the CSL Premier level today.

Our boys program has now earned the respect of top ODP coaches, regional team coaches, national team coaches as well as Collegiate coaches across the country who once thought United FC failed at developing players who could consistently perform at the collegiate level and beyond. During his years at United FC his team won and participated in numerous prestigious tournaments across the country. These include the NHB Cup Champs, Capo Cup champs, Nomads College showcase Semis, U19 National Cup semi finals, 18 National Cup Quarter finals, Dallas Cup participant etc..

Dakota Collins, former UFC player, sat down with us to answer a few questions, Dakota recently completed his first Pac Ten soccer season at UCLA, where the Bruins won the Pac ten and lost during the round of 16 at the NCAA Tournament.

Last season Dakota led his United U17 team to a Cal South National Championship and an appearance in the Far West Regional's, where his team lost in the Championship match, his team fell five wins short of being crowned National Champions. You can see Dakota in action when he rejoins his UFC team on May 17th when they try and repeat as Cal South National U18 Champions.
